Schneider 59741HX 24/250VCC

The 59741HX is a plug-in binary input module for legacy Schneider Sepam series protection relays, rated 24–250V DC (VCC = courant continu). This 59741HX collects status signals from circuit breaker auxiliary contacts, isolators, local control switches and alarm dry contacts, converts field DC signals into internal logic signals for Sepam relay logic processing. The suffix HX defines hardware revision and PCB coating variant.

This 59741HX features channel-to-channel isolation, surge suppression and reverse polarity protection for substation DC battery bus environment. It adopts the same rack plug-in form factor as Sepam I/O modules, hot-swappable when permitted. Front LED indicators show individual channel status for quick wiring and fault check. It works with Sepam 20, 40 and 80 series protection units, supporting bay control, interlock and breaker position monitoring.

The 59741HX is widely used in industrial substations, power plant medium voltage feeder and motor protection cabinets. This old Sepam accessory is discontinued by Schneider. Most available 59741HX units are tested surplus spare parts for protection cabinet overhaul and emergency I/O replacement. Voltage range and pin definition must be verified before replacement.
