Schneider VX5A1HC4050

The VX5A1HC4050 is the main power board for Schneider Altivar ATV61 and ATV71 high-power variable frequency drives, equipped with IGBT power modules, rectifier bridge and busbar power circuit. This VX5A1HC4050 is the standard Mitsubishi IGBT version; the suffix F (VX5A1HC4050F) is Fuji IGBT variant, and they are not interchangeable. It matches ATV61HC40N4 and ATV71HC31N4 frame models, responsible for AC-DC-AC power conversion and motor PWM output.

This VX5A1HC4050 integrates high-current power loop, snubber circuit and temperature sensing. Common faults include IGBT short circuit, diode failure, overcurrent alarm and DC bus breakdown. It needs to work with the drive control board, driver board and capacitor bank. When replacing, IGBT type and drive serial number must be verified to avoid compatibility failure.
