ABB SACE EMAX2 E1.2

The E1.2 is the smallest frame of ABB SACE Emax 2 air circuit breaker series, frame rated up to 1600A, available current ratings 630A, 800A, 1000A, 1250A, 1600A, rated operational voltage 690V AC, Uimp=12kV, 50/60Hz. This E1.2 supports 3-pole or 4-pole configuration, fixed or withdrawable version, performance grades B/C/N with different short-circuit breaking capacity. It can be equipped with Ekip Dip, Ekip Touch, Ekip G Hi-Touch trip units, supporting LSI, LSIG protection functions including overload, short-time delay, instantaneous short-circuit and earth fault protection.

This E1.2 adopts Rogowski coil sensing technology, built-in metering, event log and waveform capture. Optional communication modules support Modbus TCP, Profinet, Ethernet/IP for power monitoring, fault records and breaker status upload to SCADA and energy management systems. It can be fitted with motor operator, auxiliary contacts, shunt trip and undervoltage release for remote electrical opening and closing. Withdrawable type has connected, test and isolated positions for safe maintenance without disconnecting busbars. It complies with IEC 60947-2 and supports isolation function.

The E1.2 is widely used in industrial substations, power plants, data centers, photovoltaic and energy storage low voltage distribution cabinets. Emax 2 is ABB’s current mainstream air circuit breaker platform. Many electrical contractors and maintenance teams stock the E1.2 as spare breaker for panel retrofit and emergency replacement.
