984 = Modicon 984 platform high-speed intelligent IO series; 101 = 16 input 16 output, load-free detection high-speed counting specification; 100 is a model with the same number of points but with load detection, the hardware appearance is the same, and the firmware circuit is different. Core functions

On-board independent computing unit, high-speed counting, comparison output, fast local hardware execution, does not occupy PLC scanning cycle; when the count value reaches the preset value, it directly drives the local DO output to achieve millisecond-level emergency stop / disconnection; panel multi-channel status LED, respectively indicating channel on/off, counting ready, fault alarm; PLC reads and writes count values and parameters through backplane registers. Packaging production line part counting, wire extrusion metering and speed measurement, high-speed feeding trigger for stamping machines, flow statistics for belt conveyors, high-speed point triggering control for small equipment.

Operation and Maintenance

Plug directly into the Modicon 800 universal I/O slot; if counting is inaccurate, first check the input power ripple and signal line shielding; if output does not act, check the load current; for 101 without load detection, it is impossible to diagnose without no-load condition; special modules such as B885 motion card and B884 temperature control card can be mixed with the same chassis.
