Overview

Schneider ComPacT NS1600 H is a high-frame large-capacity molded case circuit breaker (MCCB), 1600 A frame size, H represents high short-circuit breaking capacity grade, belonging to Schneider ComPacT NS series. Principle

Schneider ComPacT NS1600 H collects secondary current signals from internal CTs and sends them to the MicroLogic trip unit. The electronic trip unit compares the measured value with preset thresholds. Overload triggers long‑time delayed trip; selective short‑circuit fault triggers short‑time delay trip; severe short‑circuit triggers instantaneous trip. The arc chamber cools and cuts off the arc when contacts separate, isolating the fault circuit. Communication functions transmit real‑time electrical parameters and fault logs to upper monitoring platforms.
