SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 47059
Description
SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 47059
Overview
SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 47059 is the Micrologic 6.0 P electronic trip control unit for Schneider MasterPact NT / NW air circuit breakers, supporting LSIG protection functions (Long-time, Short-time, Instantaneous, Ground-fault). It is widely supplied as exchange spare for low-voltage main switchboard, data center and industrial distribution panel overhaul and breaker retrofit.
Features
SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 47059 provides fully adjustable overload, short-time delay, instantaneous short-circuit and residual earth-fault protection, supporting selective coordination design between upstream and downstream protective devices. It integrates built-in power metering functions for phase current, voltage, power, demand and energy measurement, eliminating separate power meter hardware in many distribution applications. SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 47059 records timestamped fault logs and current waveforms for post-fault analysis. It supports communication connection to SCADA and BMS systems via compatible communication modules, and local configuration, threshold setting and diagnostic review can be completed through the front LCD screen and keypad. It is self-powered by the breaker internal CTs, so core protection functions remain available even when auxiliary control power is lost. It complies with IEC 60947-2 and relevant low-voltage distribution standards.
Specs
SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 47059 Platform: MasterPact NT / NW ACB. Type: Micrologic 6.0 P trip unit. Protection: LSIG (L overload, S short-time, I instantaneous, G ground fault). Compatible breakers: MasterPact NT, MasterPact NW. Pole support: 3P / 4P. Display: LCD with keypad. Power source: self-powered from breaker CTs. Mounting: installed inside MasterPact NT/NW air circuit breaker. This is not a complete circuit breaker; it is the electronic protection and metering release assembly. SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 47059 is widely supplied as service replacement spare for protection unit failure and metering upgrade.
Principle
SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 47059 continuously samples current signals from the ACB built-in current transformers. The internal microcontroller compares measured values against configured protection thresholds. Overload trips follow the inverse long-time curve, short-time delay enables selectivity, instantaneous protection reacts quickly for high-level short circuits, and ground fault function detects residual earth leakage current. The metering circuit calculates electrical parameters and stores fault snapshots. If fault conditions are detected, the trip unit sends a trigger signal to open the air circuit breaker and transmits alarm information to the upper monitoring system.
Applications
SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 47059 is deployed for main incoming breakers, bus tie breakers and large motor feeder breakers in industrial plants, data centers, hospitals and commercial low-voltage switchrooms. It is selected for spare inventory and panel retrofit projects for existing MasterPact NT/NW distribution systems.
