Principle

SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC ATV71LU55N4Z receives run, direction and speed reference commands from the elevator main controller. It outputs variable frequency PWM power to the traction motor, and collects encoder pulse signals to form closed-loop speed feedback. The internal elevator motion profile generates smooth speed curve and maintains holding torque at zero speed before the mechanical brake closes. The drive of SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC ATV71LU55N4Z monitors current, voltage and temperature continuously. When safety threshold is triggered, it disables torque output and triggers brake control sequence to prevent car sliding. Fault codes and status words can be read via Modbus for elevator monitoring system SOE logging.
