Description
HEM MP60D
Overview
HEM MP60D is a microprocessor-based motor protection relay for three-phase asynchronous motors, widely used in low-voltage MCC control cabinets. It integrates multi-condition motor protection, local status indication and Modbus RTU communication, and is commonly supplied as exchange spare for pump, fan, compressor and conveyor control cabinet overhaul and replacement.
Features
HEM MP60D provides comprehensive protection including overload, locked rotor, phase loss, phase unbalance, reverse phase, earth fault, overvoltage and undervoltage protection. It adopts thermal memory simulation algorithm to retain motor thermal state after power interruption and prevents repeated starting damage to hot motors. Front LED indicators clearly display power, running, pre-alarm and trip status for fast on-site inspection.
HEM MP60D supports direct-on-line, star-delta and soft-start control matching. It has configurable digital input and relay output terminals for interlock permission, remote trip and alarm signal output. All protection thresholds and time delays can be set locally via front buttons. It supports Modbus RTU communication to upload current, thermal capacity, fault codes and operating data to PLC and SCADA systems. Trip history can be read for maintenance analysis. It complies with IEC 60947 and EMC standards for indoor DIN rail cabinet mounting with IP20 rating.
Specs
HEM MP60DBrand: HEM Type: digital motor protection relay Model: MP60D Protection functions: overload, locked rotor, phase loss, phase unbalance, reverse phase, earth fault, over/undervoltage Compatible start modes: DOL, star-delta, soft start Communication: Modbus RTU Auxiliary supply: AC/DC 24V, AC110V, AC220V optional Mounting: DIN TH35 rail Protection rating: IP20 This is not a contactor, circuit breaker or soft starter; it is the dedicated motor monitoring and protection relay. HEM MP60D is widely supplied as service replacement spare for MCC motor protection loop failure.
Principle
HEM MP60D samples three-phase current and voltage signals from external CTs and voltage circuits. The internal microcontroller calculates real-time motor thermal capacity and monitors electrical anomalies. When operating values exceed preset thresholds, the relay activates trip contact to cut off the motor control loop and lock start command. It transmits fault records and operating data to upper control via Modbus RTU, and keeps thermal memory data until the motor cools down or manual reset is performed.
Applications
HEM MP60D is deployed for cooling water pumps, induced draft fans, air compressors and belt conveyors in water plants, power plants and chemical facilities. It is selected for spare inventory and MCC cabinet retrofit projects for existing HEM MP series motor protection systems.
