Overview

SABO MTB.717.15 is the master terminal integrated HMI and controller unit of the SABO PLM717-1 series, produced by SABO Elektronik Germany. It combines touch display, PLC logic, I/O interface and fieldbus communication in one compact unit, widely supplied as exchange spare for plastic machinery, extrusion lines, blow molding equipment and special machine electrical cabinet overhaul and replacement.

Features

SABO MTB.717.15 adopts the classic ColdFire embedded CPU architecture, supporting SABO proprietary programming environment for sequential control, closed-loop regulation and recipe management. It integrates LCD touch screen for local operation, parameter modification, real-time data display and fault message viewing. It supports USB port for program upload, download and data logging backup.

SABO MTB.717.15 is equipped with multiple serial and fieldbus interfaces to communicate with external drives, temperature controllers, weighing modules and upper monitoring systems. It has built-in digital and analog I/O channels for direct connection to proximity sensors, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors and proportional valve outputs. It supports multi-group recipe storage, production counting, alarm event recording and waveform capture for process troubleshooting. Front status LEDs indicate power, run status and communication fault for fast on-site inspection. It conforms to CE and EMC industrial standards for cabinet installation with IP20 front rating.

Principle

SABO MTB.717.15 executes cyclic user control program while receiving touch operation commands from the operator. It reads temperature, pressure and position signals from analog and discrete inputs, calculates closed-loop control values and outputs drive signals to actuators and proportional valves. It exchanges recipe data and alarm information with peripheral devices via internal bus. If power undervoltage, bus disconnection, sensor breakage or program error occurs, the controller triggers configurable safe reaction, locks relevant outputs and records fault information for maintenance analysis.

Applications

SABO MTB.717.15 is deployed for blow molding machines, single-screw extruders, profile extrusion lines and plastic auxiliary automation equipment. It is selected for spare inventory and electrical retrofit projects for existing SABO PLM717 series control systems.
