Principle

TELEDYNE DALSA cameras convert optical signals into digital image data through CMOS or CCD sensors. Area scan cameras capture a whole frame at one time for discrete object inspection, while line scan cameras collect one pixel line continuously to reconstruct the full image of moving materials. TDI cameras use multi-stage charge accumulation to enhance signal-to-noise ratio for low-light and high-speed scenarios. Image data is transmitted to frame grabber or smart camera internal processor, and Sapera algorithm library executes defect detection, positioning and measurement logic. If communication timeout, sensor overheating or data error occurs, the vision system outputs alarm signals to the host PLC.
