Description
VACON PC00793C CM180909
Overview
VACON PC00793C is a power board / inverter module board for the Vacon NX series (NXS / NXP) variable frequency drive, CM180909 is the unit serial and production trace code for firmware and component configuration. It is a core power stage assembly integrated with IGBTs, current sensing, gate drive circuits and snubber components, widely supplied as exchange spare for Vacon NX drive cabinet overhaul and power section replacement.
Features
VACON PC00793C converts DC bus voltage into three-phase PWM AC output for motor speed and torque regulation. It carries built-in shunt current sensors for phase current feedback, overcurrent and short-circuit protection, and temperature monitoring for thermal protection of power semiconductors. VACON PC00793C receives PWM gate signals from the Vacon control board and drives the IGBT bridge. It includes onboard bleeder and surge suppression circuits to protect against DC bus overvoltage generated by motor regenerative energy. It mates with the NX control board, cooling assembly and bus capacitor bank of the corresponding power frame size. VACON PC00793C reports overcurrent, earth fault, overtemperature and IGBT desaturation faults to the drive main control, triggering fault codes and safe shutdown. Parameter tuning, fault history and waveform diagnostics are accessible via the Vacon keypad or DrivesPC service software. It complies with CE and EMC standards for industrial VFD cabinet installation.
Specs
VACON PC00793C Platform: Vacon NXS / NXP NX series frequency converter. Type: power inverter board assembly. Trace code: CM180909. Function: DC-AC three-phase power inversion, current sampling, power stage protection. Power devices: integrated IGBT modules. Feedback: phase current, temperature. Mounting: fixed to heat sink inside NX drive frame. This is not a control board or communication card; it is the power stage board assembly. VACON PC00793C is widely supplied as service replacement spare for IGBT burnout and power loop failure.
Principle
DC voltage from the pre-charged DC bus capacitor bank feeds into VACON PC00793C. The gate drive circuit receives PWM commands from the CPU control board and switches the upper/lower IGBTs alternately to generate variable-frequency three-phase AC for the motor. The built-in current sensors continuously sample output current. If overcurrent, ground fault or excessive junction temperature is detected, the board immediately blocks all gate pulses and sends fault signals to the drive controller. The fault log of VACON PC00793C can be read for post-fault root cause analysis.
Applications
VACON PC00793C is deployed for fan, pump, conveyor, crusher and marine propulsion VFD loops using Vacon NXS and NXP drives. It is selected for spare inventory and drive retrofit projects for existing Vacon NX power stage systems. The successor platform is Danfoss iC7 series variable frequency drives.
