Kaplar Rcp-010-m3

The Rcp-010-m3 is a Kaplar rotary cam position controller, also called cam switch or electronic cam controller. This Rcp-010 supports 10 independent cam output channels, the suffix M3 defines hardware revision and signal interface variant. It reads position feedback from rotary encoder, compares actual angle with preset cam windows and triggers digital outputs at configured angular positions.

This unit accepts incremental encoder input, supports configurable rising/falling angle points for each cam channel, adjustable hysteresis to avoid chattering. It has high-speed NPN or PNP transistor outputs, front panel keys and LED indicators for angle viewing and cam setting. It can be connected to PLC, servo drive or safety relay for press, shear, rotary indexing machine and packaging machine synchronization control. It runs on 24VDC supply, IP40 housing for cabinet mounting.

The Rcp-010-m3 is widely used in mechanical press, rotary turret, form-fill-seal packaging lines and automated indexing equipment. This Kaplar electronic cam controller is discontinued. Most available units are tested surplus spare parts for machine control cabinet overhaul and emergency replacement. Encoder type and output logic must be confirmed before replacement.
