Toshiba TMM-0359 359A 220-600VAC

The TMM-0359 is a thyristor power module for Toshiba legacy medium voltage soft starter and drive system, rated current 359A, wide AC voltage range 220–600VAC. This TMM-0359 integrates back-to-back SCR thyristors, snubber circuit and temperature sensor, responsible for AC phase voltage regulation and soft current limiting for large asynchronous motor starting. The model suffix defines the thyristor configuration, heat sink interface and internal temperature feedback wiring.

This TMM-0359 supports phase-angle control, built-in over-temperature, overcurrent and surge protection. The thermistor signal is sent to the drive control board to trigger thermal alarm and shutdown. It is installed with dedicated water-cooled or air-cooled heat sink, compatible with Toshiba old TOSVERT and soft starter racks. It requires matched gate trigger board to drive the SCR firing angle. Isolation design reduces interference between power circuit and control loop.

The TMM-0359 is widely used in mining, water pump, fan large motor soft-start cabinet. This old Toshiba power module is discontinued. Most available TMM-0359 359A 220-600VAC units are tested surplus spare parts for soft starter overhaul and emergency power module replacement. Gate drive pulse and heat sink mounting size must be verified before replacement.
