Overview

SIEMENS CU250S-2 DP 6SL3246-0BA22-1PA0 is a high-performance control unit for the SINAMICS G120 modular inverter system. It features integrated PROFIBUS DP communication supporting PROFIdrive and PROFIsafe, and provides vector control and EPOS simple positioning function with optional license. This unit mates with G120 power modules to implement variable speed and positioning control for asynchronous and synchronous motors, widely used as spare parts for commissioning, replacement and upgrade of existing G120 drive systems.

Principle

SIEMENS CU250S-2 DP executes drive control algorithm and communicates with PLC via PROFIBUS DP. It receives speed, torque or position setpoints, collects encoder feedback and field I/O signals, then generates PWM commands to the paired power module. The safety circuit monitors safe inputs and cuts off power pulses to the power stage when a safety stop command is triggered. Parameter files can be stored on SD card for fast cloning and replacement.
