Overview

SIEMENS 3RS2900-1AW30 is a SIRIUS 3RS2 sensor extension module designed for 3RS26 / 3RS28 temperature monitoring relays. It expands the master relay with 2 additional resistive temperature sensor inputs, plus a 4–20 mA analog input and a sensor status relay output. This DIN‑rail module is used for temperature measurement and fault signal transfer in motor and process thermal protection systems.

Features

SIEMENS 3RS2900-1AW30 supports 2 extra resistive temperature sensors and one 4–20 mA analog channel, with ATEX capability via the analog input for hazardous zone applications. It provides a dedicated sensor status relay to report wire breakage, short circuit or sensor failure to the main monitoring relay. Principle

SIEMENS 3RS2900-1AW30 collects resistance signals from temperature sensors and analog 4–20 mA process signals, then transmits measured values and sensor health status to the connected 3RS26/3RS28 master temperature relay. If the sensor circuit has open circuit or short circuit faults, the internal status relay will actuate and send an alarm signal. The master relay executes over-temperature protection logic based on the extended temperature data.
