Overview

YOKOGAWA UT150-RN is a 1/16 DIN general-purpose PID temperature controller from Yokogawa UT100 series, with relay contact control output. YOKOGAWA UT150-RN accepts universal sensor input and performs closed-loop PID regulation for temperature and process parameters. YOKOGAWA UT150-RN is a discontinued panel controller widely used for equipment maintenance and spare replacement in thermal process systems.

Features

YOKOGAWA UT150-RN has 4-digit dual LED display for simultaneous PV and SP reading, with front panel IP65 protection. It supports universal input including thermocouple, Pt100 RTD, DC voltage and mV signals, configurable via keypad. Built-in dynamic auto-tuning and SUPER overshoot suppression function optimize PID response and reduce temperature overshoot. YOKOGAWA UT150-RN uses relay time-proportional output, rated 3A resistive load at 240V AC. Optional functions include two-point alarm, PV retransmission 4-20mA output, heater break alarm and RS485 Modbus communication. It adopts 100–240V AC wide-range power supply, fits standard 48×48mm panel cutout. Principle

YOKOGAWA UT150-RN receives analog sensor signals and converts the signal to digital PV value. The internal PID algorithm compares PV with setpoint SP and calculates the required output duty cycle. YOKOGAWA UT150-RN switches the built-in relay on and off in time proportion mode to control heaters or actuators. It monitors sensor breakage and heater current status to trigger alarm output. Optional RS485 port exchanges data with PLC and HMI for remote parameter reading and setting.
