Description
ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B CompactLogix Integrated Controller
Overview
The ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B is an integrated packaged CompactLogix controller from Rockwell Automation 1769-L23 series. The ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B features embedded digital I/O, analog I/O and high-speed counter channels, eliminating the need for separate I/O modules for small automation tasks. It is equipped with one EtherNet/IP port and one RS-232 serial port for programming, HMI connection and network communication. The ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B has 512KB user memory and supports expansion of additional 1769 Compact I/O modules, and it is an obsolete model mainly used for maintenance and spare replacement of legacy production lines.
Features
The ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B combines CPU, power supply and multi-type onboard I/O in one compact unit to save cabinet space. It supports high-speed counter input for encoder and pulse signal acquisition. The ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B uses EtherNet/IP for real-time control and data exchange with drives and HMIs, and DF1 serial communication for legacy device connection. It works with RSLogix 5000 programming software for logic development, monitoring and fault diagnosis. The ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B is discontinued by Rockwell and is widely stocked for factory equipment repair and retrofit.
Specs
Device Type: CompactLogix integrated packaged controller Model: ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1BUser Memory: 512 KB Communication: EtherNet/IP, RS-232 DF1 Onboard I/O: Digital input, digital output, analog input, analog output, high-speed counter Expansion: Compatible with 1769 Compact I/O modules Programming Software: RSLogix 5000 Mounting: DIN rail mounting Status: Discontinued by manufacturer Power Supply: Embedded power supply
Principle
The ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B scans local embedded I/O and expansion modules cyclically. It executes control logic downloaded from RSLogix 5000 and processes sensor signals, analog values and high-speed pulse data. The controller exchanges commands and status data over EtherNet/IP and serial port. When faults such as I/O error, communication loss or power abnormality are detected, the ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B records fault codes and triggers corresponding status indication.
Applications
The ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B is used for small packaging machines, conveyor systems and material handling equipment control. It serves process parameter acquisition and loop control for water treatment and HVAC auxiliary systems. The ALLEN BRADLEY 1769-L23E-QBFC1B applies to spare replacement and emergency repair of existing CompactLogix L23 integrated control stations. It also supports factory automation upgrade projects for compact machinery.
