Description

Siemens SIPROTEC 7SJ6405-5EB92-1FE0-Z/EE

The 7SJ6405-5EB92-1FE0-Z/EE is a SIPROTEC 4 7SJ64 advanced multifunctional numerical protection, control and bay automation relay for medium voltage feeders, lines and transformer backup protection. This 7SJ6405 integrates comprehensive protection elements including phase overcurrent, directional overcurrent, sensitive earth fault, thermal overload, negative sequence, over/undervoltage, over/underfrequency, ROCOF, breaker failure protection, inrush restraint and synchrocheck. The suffix Z/EE stands for custom hardware configuration and conformal coated PCB version for corrosive cabinet environments.

This relay features powerful CFC programmable logic for flexible bay interlock and switchgear automation. It supports single-shot or multi-shot auto-reclosing, fault locator, disturbance recorder, SOE sequence of events and waveform capture. It is equipped with configurable binary inputs, trip and alarm relay outputs, direct breaker control circuits. Communication options include RS485 IEC 60870-5-103, optional Ethernet IEC 61850. Local graphic LCD keypad supports on-site status check and parameter viewing; commissioning, setting and diagnosis are completed via DIGSI 4 software. Front LED indicators show run, trip and fault status. It supports RTD box connection for winding temperature monitoring.

The 7SJ6405-5EB92-1FE0-Z/EE is widely used in power grid substations, industrial plants, power plant medium voltage feeder bays, outgoing lines and transformer backup protection. The SIPROTEC 4 7SJ64 series is discontinued by Siemens, replaced by SIPROTEC 5 7SJ84 series. Most available units are tested surplus spare parts for legacy protection cabinet overhaul and emergency relay replacement. Full order code must be strictly matched to guarantee I/O layout, auxiliary supply and firmware compatibility.
