The 7SJ6235-5EB91-1FE0-Z/GG is a SIPROTEC 4 7SJ62 multifunctional numerical overcurrent protection and bay control relay for medium voltage feeders and motors. This 7SJ6235 supports phase overcurrent, directional earth fault, sensitive earth fault, thermal overload, locked rotor, negative sequence, undervoltage, overvoltage, underfrequency and overfrequency protection, covering ANSI 50, 51, 50N, 51N, 49, 46, 27, 59, 81 functions. The suffix Z/GG defines custom hardware option and conformal coated PCB variant for harsh cabinet environments.

This relay accepts wide-range AC/DC auxiliary supply, equipped with configurable binary inputs, trip and alarm relay outputs, breaker control and interlock logic. It supports definite-time and IEC/ANSI inverse-time curves, single-shot or multi-shot auto-reclosing, fault event logging, disturbance waveform recording and SOE sequence of events. It provides RS485 interface with IEC 60870-5-103 protocol, optional IEC 61850 Ethernet communication for SCADA and bay control system interconnection. Local LCD keypad enables on-site parameter viewing and status checking; commissioning and setting are completed via DIGSI 4 software. Front LED indicators show run, trip and fault diagnosis status.

The 7SJ6235-5EB91-1FE0-Z/GG is widely deployed in industrial substations, power plant auxiliary feeders, pump and fan motor protection cabinets. The classic SIPROTEC 4 7SJ62 series is discontinued by Siemens, replaced by SIPROTEC 5 7SJ82 series.
