GE Alstom ALSPA MV3000 MV3244A4A1 244A 132kW MicroCubicle variable speed drive module

Description

GE Alstom ALSPA MV3000 MV3244A4A1

The MV3244A4A1 is a compact air-cooled variable speed drive module from the legacy ALSPA MV3000 MicroCubicle platform, originally developed by Alstom and later integrated under GE Power Conversion, rated at 244A output for 132kW normal duty and 110kW heavy-duty motor applications. This MV3244A4A1 supports 380V to 440V three-phase AC input, and it delivers both open-loop encoderless flux vector control and closed-loop vector control for induction motors. The MV3244A4A1 adopts the bookcase MicroCubicle chassis design, with all main terminals and operation interfaces accessible from the front for convenient cabinet installation and service work.

This MV3244A4A1 comes with the built-in Drive Data Manager keypad, supporting parameter setting, fault diagnosis, trend monitoring and multi-language operation. The MV3244A4A1 integrates comprehensive motor protection functions including overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, thermal and stall protection, and it supports common fieldbus options to connect with PLC and SCADA systems. The MV3244A4A1 can be configured for pump, fan and conveyor control, and it is widely used for continuous process loads in mining, water treatment, marine and oil & gas facilities. Service technicians select this MV3244A4A1 as direct drop-in replacement for failed MV3000 drive modules during planned maintenance and emergency shutdown recovery.

The MV3244A4A1 is a discontinued legacy drive unit, and the original ALSPA MV3000 production has been phased out by GE. Most available MV3244A4A1 units on the market are tested surplus spare parts for retrofit and lifecycle support of existing ALSPA MV3000 installations. Its compact side-by-side mounting layout helps users save cabinet space when multiple drives are arranged in one MCC panel.
