3500/40M Proximitor Monitor (Bently Nevada)

Product Description The 3500/40M is a full‑height, 4‑channel proximity monitor for the Bently Nevada 3500 machinery protection rack. It interfaces with eddy‑current proximity transducers to measure shaft radial vibration, axial displacement/thrust position, differential expansion (DE), eccentricity, and REBAM. It provides continuous monitoring, configurable alarm/trip thresholds, buffered transducer outputs, and 4–20 mA analog outputs, serving as a core module for critical rotating machinery protection.

Oil & Gas: Centrifugal compressors, pumps, blowers (shaft displacement & vibration protection).

Petrochemical/Refining: Critical rotating equipment (high‑speed machinery protection).

Heavy Industry: Pulp & paper, mining (large motor/turbine monitoring).

Safety Systems: SIS/ESD for vibration‑based trip logic.

Usage & Maintenance

Installation: Insert into full‑height slot; wire probe cables to rear terminals; connect BNC/buffered outputs.

Configuration: Use 3500 Configuration Software (v3.3+); set measurement type, range, thresholds, and output scaling.

Maintenance: Inspect probe cables/connectors annually; calibrate every 2–3 years; no internal consumables.
