Overview

EATON LZMB1-4-A160 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) from the Eaton Moeller LZM1 series, equipped with a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit and rated 160 A. It provides overload and short-circuit protection for 400/415 V AC low-voltage distribution feeders, motor control centers and general power distribution panels. It is widely stocked as MRO spare part for industrial and building electrical system maintenance.

EATON LZMB1-4-A160 has adjustable overload setting Ir from 125 A to 160 A and fixed instantaneous short-circuit release Ii at 1280 A. The rated ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity Icu is 25 kA at 415 V AC. It adopts a compact molded housing with front rotary handle and can be fitted with optional accessories including auxiliary contacts, alarm contacts, shunt trip coils and undervoltage releases. The neutral pole is protected synchronously with phase poles. It complies with IEC/EN 60947-2 and VDE 0660 standards, with finger-safe terminals and strong resistance to shock and vibration. It supports cable or busbar connection and can be installed in fixed distribution cabinets.

Principle

EATON LZMB1-4-A160 uses a bimetallic strip for overload protection. When sustained overcurrent flows, the bimetallic strip deforms and triggers the trip mechanism. For short-circuit faults, the magnetic coil generates instant electromagnetic force to trip the contacts rapidly. The manual handle enables local ON/OFF operation and indicates ON / OFF / TRIP status. After a fault trip, the handle stays in the intermediate position and requires manual reset.
