Description
WAGO RM8-2C-D9/V2 Product Description
Overview
WAGO RM8-2C-D9/V2 is a DIN-rail mounted relay module with 2 changeover contacts, widely used for signal isolation and load switching in industrial control cabinets. This relay module accepts 24 V DC coil control signal and provides isolated contact output to switch AC and DC loads. It is stocked as standard automation spare part for PLC, sensor and auxiliary circuit retrofit.
Features
WAGO RM8-2C-D9/V2 has 2 C/O (SPDT) contacts, rated switching capacity 5 A @ 250 V AC and 5 A @ 30 V DC. The coil is 24 V DC with low power consumption. It adopts opto-isolated or galvanic isolation structure between control coil and power contacts to separate low-voltage logic circuit from field power circuit. A built-in LED status indicator shows coil energization status for fast on-site troubleshooting. The slim housing is designed for standard 35 mm DIN rail mounting and saves cabinet space. It has spring-cage or screw terminal connection option for reliable wiring. It supports frequent switching cycles and meets industrial EMC anti-interference requirements.
Specs
Brand: WAGO Model: RM8-2C-D9/V2 Product category: DIN rail relay module Contact configuration: 2 C/O (SPDT) Coil voltage: 24 V DC Contact rating: 5 A, 250 V AC / 30 V DC Indicator: Power LED Isolation: Galvanic isolation between coil and contacts Mounting: 35 mm DIN rail Protection: IP20 Operating temperature: -20℃ ~ +60℃
Principle
WAGO RM8-2C-D9/V2 acts as an electrical isolation switch. When the 24 V DC coil is energized, the electromagnetic armature pulls the contact mechanism and switches the common contact between normally open and normally closed terminals. When the coil power is removed, the internal spring resets the contact to its original state. It isolates the PLC low-voltage control signal from the high-power field load circuit to protect the controller from surge and back EMF damage.
Applications
WAGO RM8-2C-D9/V2 is widely used for signal conversion and load switching. Typical applications include packaging machinery, conveyor control systems, water treatment skids, HVAC control panels, and general factory automation cabinets. It is used for PLC digital output amplification, interlock signal transfer and spare replacement for existing WAGO relay systems.
