Overview

ORING IES-104FX-SS-SC is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch of the ORing IES-1000 series. ORING IES-104FX-SS-SC comes with 4×10/100Base-T(X) RJ45 ports and 1×100Base-FX single-mode SC fiber port, built for long-distance fiber extension of industrial Ethernet networks. It is plug-and-play without software configuration, widely deployed for data communication in factory, transportation and energy field sites.

Features

ORING IES-104FX-SS-SC adopts store-and-forward switching architecture with a 2048-entry MAC address table and supports IEEE802.3x flow control. The 100Base-FX single-mode SC fiber port runs at 1310 nm and supports transmission distance up to 30 km over 9/125 μm single-mode fiber. It accepts dual redundant 12–48 V DC power input and provides power-fail relay alarm output (1 A @ 24 V DC) to send fault signals to PLC systems. ORING IES-104FX-SS-SC is fanless with an IP30 metal housing and supports a wide operating temperature range of -40℃ ~ +70℃. It is DIN-rail mountable with a slim 26 mm width to save cabinet space. LED indicators show link status, data activity and power status for convenient on-site troubleshooting. It complies with CE, FCC and IEC 60068 standards for industrial vibration and shock resistance.

Principle

ORING IES-104FX-SS-SC receives Ethernet packets from RJ45 copper ports or fiber port, identifies destination MAC addresses and forwards packets to the target port. The fiber transceiver converts electrical signals into optical signals for long-distance transmission. Dual power inputs enable power redundancy. If one power supply fails, the built-in relay activates and sends an alarm signal to the control system. No configuration software is required for normal operation.
