Description
MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 Product Description
Overview
MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 is an electronic motor protection relay belonging to the Mitsubishi ET-N series for three-phase AC motor protection. MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 monitors motor current continuously and provides multiple protection functions including overload, locked rotor, phase loss and phase imbalance. MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 is matched with AC contactors to form a complete motor starter protection solution in industrial control cabinets.
Features
MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 supports adjustable current setting, with multiple current range options covering 1A, 4A, 8A, 20A and 60A versions. It integrates overload protection with locked rotor protection, phase failure and phase unbalance detection, which can effectively prevent motor burnout caused by abnormal power supply and load. The front panel has LED trip indication to record fault type for quick on-site troubleshooting. MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 supports AC100V or AC200V control power supply and provides changeover auxiliary contact output for interlock and alarm signal transmission to PLC and HMI. It adopts DIN rail mounting and can be installed side by side with Mitsubishi contactors in compact MCC panels. The reset mode supports manual reset after trip. Note that batches produced between December 2015 and November 2022 had known reliability issues and were subject to manufacturer recall notification. MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 complies with IEC 60947-5-1 standard and has stable anti-interference performance for continuous workshop operation.
Specs
Brand: MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC Model: ET-N60 Product series: ET-N Product category: Electronic motor protection relay Protection functions: Overload, locked rotor, phase loss, phase imbalance Current range options: 1A, 4A, 8A, 20A, 60A Control supply: AC100V / AC200V Output contact: SPDT changeover contact Mounting: DIN rail Standard: IEC 60947-5-1 Remark: Specific production batches subject to recall notice
Principle
MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 samples three-phase current signals from the built-in current transformers. The internal electronic circuit compares the real-time current values with preset protection parameters. When overload, locked rotor, phase loss or severe current imbalance is detected, the relay trips and changes its auxiliary contact state. MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 sends a trip signal to cut off the contactor coil circuit and stop the motor. The fault LED keeps lit to retain trip information until manual reset. It realizes intelligent electronic protection instead of traditional thermal bimetallic overload relays.
Applications
MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ET-N60 is widely used in three-phase motor control circuits. It is commonly applied in pumps, fans, conveyors, compressors and packaging machinery in water treatment, chemical, food and manufacturing industries. It is installed inside motor control centers and local starter cabinets, and it is widely used as spare replacement and overhaul parts for existing Mitsubishi motor control systems.
