Description

ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA Product Description

Overview

ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA is a 24-point integrated PLC controller of the Allen‑Bradley MicroLogix 1200 series. ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA is powered by 120/240V AC, equipped with built-in DC digital inputs and relay outputs for small machine automation control. ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA is a discontinued compact controller, widely used as maintenance spare parts for existing automation equipment.

Features

ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA has 14 digital input channels including 10 standard 24V DC inputs and 4 high-speed 24V DC inputs, plus 10 relay output channels. The four high-speed input channels support high-speed counter, pulse catch and interrupt functions up to 20kHz. It carries 4KB user program memory and 2KB data memory, programmed via RSLogix 500 software. ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA supports DH-485, DF1 and Modbus communication protocols for data exchange with HMI, other controllers and monitoring devices. It can be expanded with up to 6 pieces of 1762 series expansion I/O modules to increase digital and analog points. DIN rail mounting design allows easy installation inside control cabinets. ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA has RUN, FAULT, FORCE and COMM status indicators for on-site quick diagnosis. It supports real-time clock, recipe storage and floating-point arithmetic for process control tasks.

Principle

ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA reads discrete signals from field sensors and switches through built-in DC input channels. The CPU executes ladder logic programs and generates control commands. The commands drive the internal relay contacts to switch the output load circuit. ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA communicates with external devices over serial bus to upload running parameters and fault information, or receive set values and operation commands. High-speed input hardware captures fast pulse signals independently of the scan cycle to realize high-speed counting and position tracking.

Applications

ALLEN BRADLEY 1762-L24BWA is used for small and medium-sized standalone automation equipment. It is commonly applied in packaging machines, conveyor systems, pumping stations, HVAC units and food processing machinery. It is widely selected for maintenance and spare replacement of old MicroLogix 1200 control cabinets, and it cooperates with HMI and sensors to complete logic control, sequence action and parameter monitoring.
