Principle

TERASAKI 3M-120A uses bimetallic strip for overload protection and magnetic coil for short-circuit protection. When the load current exceeds the overload setting value, the bimetallic strip heats and deforms to trigger delayed trip. When short-circuit current occurs, the magnetic coil generates instant electromagnetic force to trip the mechanism quickly. TERASAKI 3M-120A cuts off the main circuit to avoid damage to downstream cables and loads. Optional auxiliary contacts change state synchronously to send fault signals to PLC and alarm systems.
