Principle

The ABB Ekip Touch LSIG samples current signals from internal current sensors of the circuit breaker. The internal microprocessor calculates electrical values and compares them with preset protection thresholds. When overload, short-circuit or earth fault occurs, the ABB Ekip Touch LSIG sends trip command to the breaker operating mechanism to cut off the faulty circuit. It records fault current, fault type and timestamp data for inspection.
