Description

ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM Kinetix 350 Single-axis EtherNet/IP Servo Drive

Overview

The ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM is a single-axis EtherNet/IP servo drive from the Kinetix 350 series, designed for matching Allen‑Bradley MP series permanent magnet servo motors. The ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM supports integrated motion control under Logix platform, exchanging cyclic motion commands, position feedback and fault status via EtherNet/IP bus. It is equipped with Safe Torque Off safety function and 120V voltage doubler circuit, suitable for low-power dynamic positioning applications. The ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM is an obsolete spare unit widely stocked for maintenance of packaging, machine tool and material handling automation racks.

Features

The ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM accepts single-phase 120V AC or 240V AC input, with 2.8A continuous output current. It supports torque control, speed control and position control modes, and works with incremental or absolute encoder feedback. The ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM integrates built-in overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, over-temperature and motor short-circuit protection. It uses standard EtherNet/IP CIP motion profile and Studio5000 software for configuration, tuning and fault diagnosis. The ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM adopts DIN rail mounting and consistent pin definition for direct replacement within the same Kinetix 350 series.

Specs

Device Type: Kinetix 350 single-axis EtherNet/IP servo drive Model: ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM Input Voltage: 120V / 240V AC single phase Continuous Output Current: 2.8 A Communication: EtherNet/IP Safety Function: STO safe torque off Feedback: Incremental encoder / absolute encoder Software: Studio5000, Motion Analyzer Mounting: 35 mm DIN rail inside control cabinet Protection Grade: IP20 Application: Packaging machine, automated assembly, material handling, small CNC auxiliary axis

Principle

The ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM receives motion setpoint commands from Logix controller over EtherNet/IP. The internal control board compares the command target with rotor position and speed signals fed back by the motor encoder, then adjusts PWM signal of the IGBT power stage to drive the servo motor. The drive continuously monitors bus voltage, winding current and internal temperature. When abnormal conditions are detected, the ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM cuts off power output, activates STO protection and stores fault codes for troubleshooting.

Applications

The ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM is used for low-power dynamic positioning axis control in automated packaging and assembly production lines. It serves synchronous motion and indexing control for conveyor and sorting equipment. The ALLEN BRADLEY 2097-V31PR0-LM applies to spare stock and emergency repair of legacy Kinetix 350 motion control systems. It also supports drive cabinet renovation and axis migration projects.
