The KOLLMORGEN PRD-B040ASIC-62 is a discontinued SERVOSTAR 400 series servo amplifier from Kollmorgen. Principle

The KOLLMORGEN PRD-B040ASIC-62 receives position or speed command signals from the upper controller. The internal control core calculates the required current output and drives the IGBT power stage to generate adjustable three-phase AC for the servo motor. It continuously reads encoder feedback to form closed-loop regulation and corrects position and speed deviation in real time. When abnormal electrical or feedback signals are detected, the KOLLMORGEN PRD-B040ASIC-62 triggers safety shutdown and records fault codes.
