Overview

The TOOL-TEMP MP-888 is a microprocessor-based temperature controller developed by Tool-Temp AG, designed as the master control unit for Tool-Temp series mould temperature control units. The TOOL-TEMP MP-888 receives Pt100 temperature sensor signals and executes PID closed-loop regulation to control heating and cooling circuits for precise mould temperature stabilization. It supports local parameter setting, actual value display and fault monitoring, and is widely fitted on TT-137, TT-388/2 and other Tool-Temp thermoregulators. The TOOL-TEMP MP-888 is a common spare part for maintenance and replacement of existing injection moulding temperature control systems.

Principle

The TOOL-TEMP MP-888 samples real-time temperature signals from the Pt100 sensor installed on the mould or circulation circuit. The internal microprocessor compares the measured value with the preset target temperature and calculates the PID output. It sends switching signals to the heater and cooling valve to adjust the thermal medium temperature. When temperature exceeds limit or sensor failure occurs, the TOOL-TEMP MP-888 triggers alarm and safety interlock output.

Applications

The TOOL-TEMP MP-888 is used for mould temperature control of injection moulding machines and extrusion equipment. It undertakes thermal medium temperature regulation for die-casting and composite forming processes. The TOOL-TEMP MP-888 applies to spare replacement and troubleshooting of Tool-Temp TT series thermoregulators.
