Overview

MITSUBISHI A1S61PN is a power supply module for the Mitsubishi MELSEC-AnS / QnAS small PLC backplane system. It plugs into the dedicated power slot of A1S base units and supplies stable 5 VDC power to the CPU, I/O and network modules on the rack. It is widely supplied as exchange spare for legacy AnS PLC cabinet overhaul and power module replacement.

Built-in protection circuits include overcurrent protection and overvoltage protection for the 5 V rail. It supports a 20 ms allowable power hold-up time for brief mains dip tolerance.

This is an end-of-life legacy unit; Mitsubishi stopped production, with repair support available until 2031. It complies with industrial EMC standards for control cabinet installation.

Principle

MITSUBISHI A1S61PN converts AC mains into regulated 5 VDC and feeds power across the backplane to all modules on the base rack. Internal monitoring circuits continuously track output voltage and current. If current or voltage exceeds preset limits, the supply latches a fault and cuts output to protect downstream PLC modules. The power LED turns off upon fault condition.

Applications

MITSUBISHI A1S61PN is deployed for legacy packaging machines, wire EDM, textile machinery and general process control panels using AnS PLC. It is selected for spare inventory and PLC cabinet retrofit projects for existing MELSEC-AnS systems.
