AGIE EBD-07A
Description
AGIE EBD-07A
Overview
AGIE EBD-07A is a pulse generator and gap control board for Agie wire EDM machines. It manages the electrical discharge pulse output and real-time spark gap feedback, forming a key part of the EDM power supply unit. It is widely supplied as exchange spare for Agie wire cut machine electrical cabinet overhaul and pulse control board replacement.
Features
AGIE EBD-07A receives cutting parameter commands from the machine CNC controller. It controls pulse on-time, pulse off-time and peak discharge current to match rough cut, skim cut and finishing cutting modes. The onboard sampling circuit continuously monitors gap voltage and gap current to identify open gap, normal spark, arc and short-circuit conditions. When harmful arcing occurs, the board quickly suppresses discharge pulses to prevent wire breakage and workpiece burns.
AGIE EBD-07A exchanges gap status and fault signals with the main machine controller. Onboard LED indicators show power state, pulse activity and fault alarm for quick on-site inspection. Cutting settings such as wire material, wire diameter and workpiece material are transferred from the CNC to tune the pulse profile. The PCB is designed to resist high-frequency switching noise inside the EDM electrical cabinet.
Specs
AGIE EBD-07APlatform: Agie wire EDM system Type: EDM pulse & gap control PCB Model: EBD-07A Core function: discharge pulse shaping, gap voltage/current sampling, arc protection Control parameters: pulse on-time, pulse off-time, peak current Feedback: spark gap condition detection Compatible equipment: Agie wire electrical discharge machine Mounting: installed inside EDM power cabinet Protection rating: IP20 This is not a servo drive, CNC CPU or power supply module; it is the spark control board for the EDM cutting power loop. AGIE EBD-07A is widely supplied as service replacement spare for EDM pulse control failure.
Principle
AGIE EBD-07A generates controlled high-energy pulses across the wire-workpiece gap. It continuously compares the measured gap signature against the target spark window. If the feedback detects sustained arcing or short circuit, the board modifies pulse timing or pauses pulse output to clear the gap. Once the gap recovers to normal spark condition, pulse output resumes automatically to maintain stable cutting speed and surface finish.
Applications
AGIE EBD-07A is deployed for precision mold, die and tool wire cutting workshops. It is selected for spare inventory and EDM power cabinet retrofit projects for existing Agie wire EDM systems.
