Principle

FR ELECTRONIC ATU8250 samples forward and reflected RF power to calculate SWR and antenna impedance. The internal relay-switched L/C matching network adjusts inductance and capacitance combinations to transform the antenna impedance close to 50 ohms. Once a valid match is achieved, the tuner locks the network and allows RF transmission. If matching cannot be completed within the time window or SWR remains excessive, the unit stops tuning and activates a fault signal.
