Description
PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC (IBIL02UBPPAC)
Overview
PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC is a 2-channel analog output module for the Phoenix Contact Inline (IB IL) distributed I/O system, with the shorthand identifier IBIL02UBPPAC. It is a local bus voltage output module for Inline stations, widely supplied as exchange spare for packaging, machine tool, HVAC and process automation cabinet overhaul and analog control loop expansion.
Features
PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC provides two independent voltage analog output channels, supporting signal ranges of 0–10 V and −10–10 V. It uses 2-wire connection technology and requires a load impedance greater than 2 kΩ for stable output performance. PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC connects to the Inline local bus at 500 kbit/s, and process data refresh time is below 1 ms, which meets the response requirements of ordinary analog control loops such as valve positioners, variable frequency drives and indicators. It features 13-bit DAC resolution and integrated transient overvoltage protection on each output channel to resist electrical interference in industrial environments. PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC supports hot-swap maintenance when the Inline station is properly configured, and front LED indicators display bus status, power supply and channel fault information for quick field troubleshooting. Configuration and parameter assignment are completed via Phoenix ILC programming software or PLC engineering tools. It carries CE certification and IP20 protection rating for installation inside standard control cabinets.
Specs
PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC Platform: Inline IB IL distributed I/O. Type: analog voltage output module. Channel count: 2 AO. Output range: 0–10 V / −10–10 V. DAC resolution: 13 bit. Local bus speed: 500 kbit/s. Process update time: < 1 ms. Load requirement: > 2 kΩ. Supply: 24 VDC from Inline station bus. Enclosure: IP20. This is not an analog input module or bus coupler; it is a voltage-type analog output electronic module. PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC is widely supplied as service replacement spare for analog control output failure.
Principle
PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC receives digital setpoint values from the Inline bus coupler and PLC over the Inline local bus. The internal DAC circuit converts digital values into calibrated analog voltage signals and drives the connected field devices. The module continuously monitors bus communication and output circuit status. If bus interruption, short circuit or overloading is detected, it sets diagnostic flags and triggers fault alarms in the control program. The analog output of PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC is used to adjust actuator opening, drive speed and other continuous process variables.
Applications
PHOENIX CONTACT IB IL AO 2/U/BP-PAC is deployed for control of proportional valves, frequency inverters, lighting regulators and analog indicators on packaging machines, textile machinery, water treatment skids and building automation systems. It is selected for spare inventory and station retrofit projects for existing Phoenix Inline I/O systems.
