Description
AEG AUE-169B
Overview
AEG AUE-169B is a plug-in type auxiliary relay from AEG, commonly used in protection panels, MV/LV switchgear and control circuits for trip amplification, interlock and status signal transfer. AEG AUE-169B is a reliable industrial control relay with multiple changeover contacts, designed for long-term stable operation in substation and cabinet secondary circuits. AEG AUE-169B belongs to discontinued AEG low voltage control components, widely supplied as exchange spare for old switchgear maintenance and replacement.
Features
AEG AUE-169B adopts sealed relay construction, low coil consumption and stable contact performance for AC and DC control signal switching. It is equipped with multiple changeover contacts to duplicate breaker auxiliary signals, protection trip commands and alarm outputs for PLC, protection devices and SCADA SOE logging. AEG AUE-169B supports different coil voltage variants defined by the full part number, such as 24VDC, 48VDC, 110VDC, 220VAC, to match power system secondary control supply schemes. It uses plug-in base mounting design, convenient for quick removal and replacement without rewiring the socket terminals. AEG AUE-169B has contact arrangement suitable for trip circuit supervision logic, and it meets industrial EMC requirements for control cabinet environments. The contacts are rated only for low-power control circuits and cannot be used for direct switching of main power loads.
Specs
AEG AUE-169B plug-in socket mounting. Contact configuration and coil voltage are determined by the complete part suffix. Contact rating for control signal level, DIN rail socket installation, IP20 for cabinet use. This relay is not a protection relay, it is an auxiliary signal amplification relay. AEG AUE-169B is widely supplied as exchange spare for old AEG cubicle overhaul.
Principle
AEG AUE-169B operates when the control coil receives energizing signal from protection relay or breaker auxiliary circuit. The internal armature pulls in and switches all changeover contacts to transmit control or status signals. When the coil is de-energized, spring force resets all contacts back to the resting state. The contacts of AEG AUE-169B are wired into interlock, trip supervision and alarm routing loops. The control system can monitor contact continuity and action status to capture circuit anomaly and contact failure.
Applications
AEG AUE-169B is deployed in MV feeder cubicles, generator protection panels, LV MCC control cabinets and marine switchboards. Typical applications: protection trip signal amplification, breaker position signal splitting, interlock logic transfer and alarm signal routing to SCADA. AEG AUE-169B is selected for spare inventory and panel retrofit projects for legacy AEG switchgear systems.
