Overview

Beijer CIMREX 60 is a legacy graphic operator terminal (HMI) from Beijer Electronics CIMREX series, also known as E600, part code 04391 0829-007 is the factory style/configured variant. Beijer CIMREX 60 is a panel-mount HMI designed for connection with multiple PLC brands for machine operation, parameter setting, alarm display and process status monitoring. Beijer CIMREX 60 is end-of-life discontinued hardware, widely supplied as exchange spare for machinery, marine and process control cabinet overhaul.

Features

Beijer CIMREX 60 uses a color STN graphic display with integrated resistive touchscreen and function keys for local operation. It supports multi-protocol serial communication, including Beijer proprietary, Modbus, Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens and Allen‑Bradley DF1/ASCII driver libraries for flexible PLC connection. Beijer CIMREX 60 stores HMI project application internally, supporting alarm logging, recipe storage, trend display and real-time tag read/write for setpoint adjustment. It has built-in real-time clock for timestamping alarms and events. Beijer CIMREX 60 enclosure is IP65 on front panel for panel cutout mounting, suitable for workshop and engine room field operator interface. It includes watchdog self-diagnosis for CPU, memory and communication anomaly; communication loss triggers configurable screen alarm. The 0829-007 suffix defines serial batch, firmware version, communication port arrangement and special factory test option.

Principle

Beijer CIMREX 60 polls PLC registers cyclically over serial communication, converts register values into engineering units and displays graphics, trends and alarm messages on screen. When operator touches the screen or presses function keys, the terminal writes setpoint, start/stop and reset commands back to the PLC. The alarm buffer inside Beijer CIMREX 60 records event time and message text for troubleshooting. If serial link dropout or internal memory fault is detected, the HMI shows fault warning and stops writing unsafe commands to the PLC.

Applications

Beijer CIMREX 60 is deployed on extruders, packaging machines, hydraulic systems, marine auxiliary machinery and general process skids. It is used as local operator interface for manual operation, recipe selection and fault alarm viewing. Beijer CIMREX 60 is selected for spare inventory and retrofit replacement of aging CIMREX 60 HMI terminals. Migration replacement part is Beijer X2 / X3 series operator panel with adapter plate.
