Features

ABB ICMK14F1 uses ABB CS31 serial fieldbus for cyclic discrete data exchange with the AC31 main controller, bus communication distance up to 500m. It has 8 24VDC digital inputs for collecting breaker status, limit switches and interlock signals; 6 potential-free relay outputs for remote breaker control, alarm and indicator drive. ABB ICMK14F1 carries front LED status indicators for bus communication, power, input and output channel status, supporting fast on-site fault diagnosis. It supports hot configuration and program download via AC31 programming software, and includes built-in bus supervision; when cable break or station dropout occurs, it sends fault flags back to the CPU. Relay outputs are isolated, rated 2A per contact, suitable for low-power control circuits. ABB ICMK14F1 meets industrial EMC requirements and cabinet IP20 installation.

Principle

ABB ICMK14F1 cyclically receives output bit image from the AC31 CPU over CS31 bus and drives the internal relay contacts to execute remote control commands. It samples local digital input signals, packages the input status and transmits back to the CPU process image area synchronously with the PLC scan. If CS31 communication is interrupted, the control program can set outputs to predefined safe state to avoid mis-operation. All station status and fault bits of ABB ICMK14F1 can be read in the PLC program for alarm logging and SOE.
