ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P
Description
ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P
Overview
ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P is an 800A 4-pole air circuit breaker (ACB) from the legacy ABB SACE Emax E1 series, “08” stands for 800A frame current, “N” is the breaking capacity grade, 4P four-pole configuration with full-size neutral pole (100% Iu)ABB Group. ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P is widely used as main incoming and bus feeder protection in low-voltage main switchboards, MCC and power distribution cabinets, and is commonly supplied as spare unit for panel overhaul and replacement.
Features
ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P supports electronic trip unit PR121/P, PR122/P or PR123/P, configurable with LSIG protection functions: long-time overload, short-time delay, instantaneous short-circuit and ground fault protection. It includes built-in power metering, waveform capture, sequence of event recording and communication options via Modbus, IEC 61850 or RS485 for SCADA integrationABB Group. ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P can be selected as fixed or withdrawable version, with visible break isolation for lockout/tagout maintenance. It supports abundant accessories: auxiliary contacts, alarm contacts, shunt trip, undervoltage release, motor charging motor and key interlock devices. The breaker provides high short-circuit withstand and breaking performance for low-voltage AC distribution circuits, and meets IEC 60947-2 standard.
Specs
ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P rated uninterrupted current Iu: 800A, 4-pole, neutral pole 100% rated. Rated operational voltage Ue up to 690V AC, 50/60Hz. Icu breaking capacity of N grade at 415V is 50kAfiles.kemp.... Trip unit type, mounting form (fixed / withdrawable), terminal direction and release voltage are defined by the full suffix code. Protection class IP20 for cabinet installation. Mechanical life and electrical life follow Emax E1 catalogue specification. ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P is widely supplied as exchange spare for LV switchgear renovation and emergency replacement.
Principle
ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P conducts normal load current when closed, and the electronic trip unit continuously samples three-phase and neutral current signals. When overload, short-circuit or earth fault exceeds the setting threshold, the trip unit sends signal to the mechanical release mechanism and the breaker opens rapidly to isolate the fault circuit. The auxiliary and alarm contacts of ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P feed back open/closed, ready, spring charged and fault status signals to PLC and SCADA for interlock and alarm logging. After tripping, the breaker requires manual charging and closing operation according to the control scheme.
Applications
ABB SACE Emax E1N 08 4P is used for main incoming feeder, bus tie and large motor feeder protection in industrial plants, data centers, water treatment, marine main switchboards and commercial building low-voltage distribution systems. It is selected for spare inventory, switchgear retrofit and upgrade projects requiring four-pole high-current air circuit breaker with earth fault protection and power monitoring. It is a classic main protection device for TN-S and TT distribution systems where neutral pole isolation and earth fault supervision are required.
