Allen‑Bradley SK-H1-ASICBD-E1500 751D15110498AS PowerFlex 700H / 700S ASIC Gate Drive Board Product Description

Overview

Allen‑Bradley SK-H1-ASICBD-E1500 (often written SK-H1-ASICD-E1500, typo) is the ASIC gate drive control board for PowerFlex 700H / PowerFlex 700S high-performance vector drive; 751D15110498AS is the serial / configuration revision code. This board is the core pulse generation and fault sampling subassembly for high-horsepower PowerFlex 700H/S drives, with conformal coated PCB for harsh environments. It is end-of-life, widely used for extrusion, winder, test bench and heavy process drive maintenance and spare‑part replacement of PowerFlex 700H/S drive systemsRockwell A....

Features

Allen‑Bradley SK-H1-ASICBD-E1500 receives low-level control commands from the main control board and generates isolated IGBT gate drive pulses for the power stack. This SK-H1-ASICBD-E1500 integrates phase current, DC bus voltage and IGBT desaturation fault detection, fast short-circuit protection and hardware fault latch. It provides galvanic isolation between control logic and high-power power stage, and reports hardware faults back to the drive mainboard for fault logging and oscillography capture. The conformal coating resists condensation, dust and oil mist in industrial cabinets. It matches the E1500 current rating variant for corresponding frame size PowerFlex 700H/S, and works with Rockwell DriveExplorer / DriveTools software for fault diagnosis. It complies with UL, cULus standards for power conversion equipment.

Principle

SK-H1-ASICBD-E1500 accepts PWM reference signals from the drive CPU board. Onboard ASIC and gate driver chips amplify and isolate the pulses to trigger the IGBT power modules. High-speed fault circuits continuously monitor IGBT collector-emitter voltage and phase current. If short circuit, overcurrent or IGBT failure is detected, the drive pulses are immediately shut down by hardware latch to avoid power module damage. Fault status is sent to the main control board and stored in the fault buffer.

Applications

Allen‑Bradley SK-H1-ASICBD-E1500 is deployed in plastic extrusion lines, metal rolling equipment, center winders, heavy test stands and large process skids equipped with PowerFlex 700H/S high-performance drives. This gate board is a critical spare for repairing high-power PowerFlex 700H/S vector drives. SK-H1-ASICBD-E1500 fits drive overhaul and spare replacement of PowerFlex 700H/S ASIC gate drive boards.

Installation & Maintenance Notes

Follow official Rockwell PowerFlex 700H/S manual during replacement of SK-H1-ASICBD-E1500. Use ESD protection before handling the board. Fully discharge DC bus for the required waiting time before removing the cover. Record connector mapping before unplugging. After replacement, verify power module matching, pulse test and fault detection loop. Confirm exact part number SK-H1-ASICBD-E1500 and revision code 751D15110498AS; different E suffix variants (E1030/E1180/E1900 etc.) correspond to different current frames and cannot be interchanged directly.
