Description
Allen‑Bradley 1771-NBTC
The 1771-NBTC is an N-series high-resolution isolated analog combination module for Allen‑Bradley PLC‑5 1771 chassis. This 1771-NBTC has 6 differential thermocouple / millivolt input channels plus 2 isolated 0–25mA analog output channels, 15-bit resolution, channel-to-channel isolation. It accepts multiple thermocouple types (J, K, T, E, R, S, B) and low-level mV signals from temperature sensors.
This 1771-NBTC uses block transfer instructions to exchange data with the PLC‑5 processor. It supports cold junction compensation, digital filtering, high/low alarm threshold setup and open thermocouple detection. It fits a single slot in standard 1771 I/O rack, powered by backplane. Front LED indicators show module run, fault and communication status for fast troubleshooting. It works with 1771-RTP1 remote terminal panel for field wiring.
The 1771-NBTC is widely used in power plants, furnaces, heat treatment and chemical process loops for temperature monitoring and analog control output. The 1771 N-series analog modules are discontinued by Rockwell. Most available 1771-NBTC units are tested surplus spare parts for legacy PLC‑5 cabinet overhaul and emergency replacement.
