ABB SACE Tmax XT7D

The XT7D is the withdrawable molded case circuit breaker version of ABB SACE Tmax XT7 series, frame rating up to 1600A, available current ratings 800A, 1000A, 1200A, 1600A, rated operational voltage up to 690V AC. This XT7D supports 3-pole or 4-pole configuration, the D indicates withdrawable design with separate withdrawable cradle, offering connected, test and isolated positions for safe maintenance without disconnecting busbars. It can be equipped with Ekip Dip, Ekip Touch, Ekip Hi-Touch electronic trip units, delivering LI, LSI, LSIG adjustable protection including overload, short-time delay, instantaneous short-circuit and earth fault protection.

This XT7D complies with IEC 60947-2 standard. The withdrawable cradle supports plug-in electrical contact arms, auxiliary circuit automatic connection when inserted. The Ekip Hi-Touch variant integrates power measurement, event recording, waveform capture and local graphic display. Optional communication modules support Modbus TCP, PROFINET for power monitoring, fault codes and breaker status transmission to SCADA and energy management systems. It carries high short-circuit withstand capacity, available in N, S, H, L breaking grades. It can be fitted with motor operator, shunt trip, undervoltage release and auxiliary contacts for remote electrical operation.

The XT7D is widely used in industrial substations, power plants, photovoltaic and energy storage low voltage distribution cabinets where breaker withdrawal for maintenance is required without panel busbar shutdown. Tmax XT is ABB’s current mainstream molded case circuit breaker platform. Many electrical contractors and maintenance teams stock the XT7D as spare breaker for panel retrofit and emergency replacement.
