GE ASTAT-XT QT10460N11MS 460A 50Hz

The QT10460N11MS is a GE ASTAT‑XT digital soft starter, rated 460A, 50Hz, QT1 = 230–500VAC three-phase main voltage class. The order code definition: QT1 for 230–500V, 0460 = 460A rated current, N stands for non-UL version, 11MS means control I/O 90–230VAC interface variant. This ASTAT‑XT uses SCR phase angle control to achieve smooth ramp start and soft stop, limiting starting inrush current and reducing mechanical shock for squirrel cage induction motors.

This unit supports voltage ramp, current limit, torque control and pump anti-waterhammer soft stop curves. It integrates built-in bypass contactor, thermal overload, locked rotor, phase loss, current unbalance, SCR overtemperature and short-circuit protection. It has configurable digital inputs and relay alarm/trip outputs, optional Profibus or DeviceNet communication cards for SCADA and PLC interconnection. The local LCD keypad supports parameter setting, fault log review and trend reading; commissioning, backup and diagnosis are completed via dedicated ASTAT XT software. It supports standard in-line connection and inside-delta 6-wire wiring.

The ASTAT‑XT QT10460N11MS is widely used in water treatment, power plant auxiliary fans, pumps, compressors and conveyor motor starting control. The GE ASTAT XT series is discontinued, legacy spare supply is handled by ABB. Most available units are tested surplus spare parts for soft starter cabinet overhaul and emergency replacement. Voltage class, control supply and I/O variant must be strictly matched before swap.
