GE ASTAT-XT QT10310U11MS 310A 50Hz

The QT10310U11MS is the ASTAT‑XT digital soft starter formerly manufactured by GE, now part of ABB portfolio, rated 310A, 50Hz, QT1 version for 230–500VAC three-phase supply. This ASTAT‑XT adopts SCR phase angle control to deliver adjustable ramp start and soft stop, limiting inrush current and reducing mechanical shock for squirrel cage induction motors. The order code definition: QT1 = 230–500V class, 0310 = 310A rated current, U = UL certified, 11MS = control I/O 90–230VAC interface variant.

This unit supports voltage ramp, current limit, torque control and pump anti-waterhammer soft stop curves. It integrates built-in bypass contactor option, thermal overload, locked rotor, phase loss, current unbalance, SCR over-temperature and short-circuit protection. It has configurable digital inputs and relay alarm/trip outputs, optional Profibus or DeviceNet communication cards for SCADA and PLC interconnection. The local LCD keypad enables parameter setting, fault log review and trend reading; commissioning and backup are completed via dedicated ASTAT XT software. It supports standard in-line connection and inside-delta 6-wire wiring.

The ASTAT‑XT QT10310U11MS is widely used in water treatment, power plant auxiliary fans, pumps, compressors and conveyor motor starting control. The GE ASTAT XT series is discontinued, legacy spare supply is handled by ABB. Most available units are tested surplus spare parts for soft starter cabinet overhaul and emergency replacement. Voltage class, control supply and I/O variant must be strictly matched before swap.
