Description

MOXA MC 5000 MC-5157-DC

MOXA MC 5000 MC-5157-DC is a rugged fanless marine x86 embedded computer for ECDIS and integrated bridge navigation systems, part of Moxa MC-5000 series marine certified computing platform. The embedded computer is powered by Intel Core i5-520E processor with QM57 chipset, delivering stable computing performance for ECDIS electronic chart display, navigation data processing and marine bridge application operation. The embedded computer is equipped with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, 4 serial COM ports, 8 NMEA signal channels, VGA/DVI video output and multiple USB 2.0 interfaces for connecting navigation sensors, displays and peripherals. The embedded computer supports dual storage including internal SATA drive and front removable storage tray for data backup and chart storage. The embedded computer adopts 24V DC wide-range power input and built-in surge, reverse polarity and EMC protection for marine power networks.

MOXA MC 5000 MC-5157-DC uses heavy-duty aluminum fin heat sink for fully fanless cooling design, eliminating fan failure risk for continuous onboard operation. The marine computing unit supports wall or rack mounting inside wheelhouse control cabinets. The marine computing unit has 1.5KV isolation protection on Ethernet ports to suppress electrical noise interference. The marine computing unit holds marine classification certification to withstand shock, vibration, humidity and wide temperature fluctuation on seagoing vessels. The marine computing unit features front panel status LED and key lock switch for local access control and hardware troubleshooting. The marine computing unit has been fully factory tested for ECDIS compliance for marine navigation safety applications.

MOXA MC 5000 MC-5157-DC is widely deployed on cargo ships, tankers and offshore vessels for ECDIS, DP dynamic positioning and integrated bridge navigation systems. The industrial spare part can replace defective marine computers to restore ECDIS chart processing and navigation data computation rapidly. The industrial spare part matches original mechanical and electrical specifications for direct cabinet mounting replacement. The industrial spare part has clear part marking for fast identification and stock management. The industrial spare part reduces vessel downtime during bridge navigation system overhaul and marine computing hardware maintenance.
