1756-L61 Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix Logix5561 Controller
Detailed Description 1756-L61 is a single-slot controller of Rockwell ControlLogix platform, also named Logix5561 processor. User memory 2MB, supports up to 128,000 digital I/O and 4,000 analog I/O points, max 32 tasks and 100 programs per task. It installs into any slot of 1756 series chassis (A4/A7/A10/A13/A17), communicates with local I/O and expansion modules via ControlLogix backplane bus. The onboard RS232 port supports DF1, DH485, ASCII for programming and direct device connection, with CompactFlash card slot for program backup and data storage. Two hardware revisions available: 1756-L61/A and 1756-L61/B with different firmware range. It supports ladder logic, structured text, function block diagram and sequential function chart programming, integrates motion control function for multi-axis servo synchronization. Widely applied in automotive assembly, packaging, material handling, chemical and water treatment automation systems.
This CPU supports RIUP (Remove and Insert Under Power) hot swap for module maintenance. Front panel LED indicators display RUN, FAULT, FORCE, BATTERY, SERIAL status for fast on-site diagnosis. Battery backup retains data and tags during power loss. It works together with 1756 communication modules such as ENBT/EN2T Ethernet, CN2 ControlNet, DNB DeviceNet to build distributed control network. Built-in self-diagnosis detects backplane error, memory fault, low battery and program runtime alarm.
IP20 protection grade for cabinet installation, operating temperature range 0~60℃. Modular architecture enables flexible expansion of digital/analog, positioning, high-speed counter and specialty modules according to project demands.
1756-L61 is discontinued legacy Rockwell ControlLogix spare part. Many medium and large production lines still run on this Logix5561 controller. When the original CPU fails, replacing it with identical 1756-L61 can reuse existing 1756 chassis, power supply, I/O modules, communication cards and original RSLogix5000 project without major program rewrite. Technicians install CPU, download backup program, match firmware version and verify backplane & network communication, so the whole control system resumes operation and cuts downtime.
Before shipment, every 1756-L61 undergoes comprehensive functional inspection including power-on boot test, backplane bus communication verification, RS232 port test, CF card read-write test, battery health check and self-diagnosis test. All products come with 12-month warranty. Our automation technical team provides remote support for rack installation, program backup, firmware upgrade and fault diagnosis. Fast global shipping is available for urgent maintenance orders.
For automation maintenance engineers and system integrators, 1756-L61 is reliable spare processor for legacy Rockwell ControlLogix systems. It restores logic, process and motion control functions, extends service life of automation assets and avoids high-cost whole control system upgrade.
