SPC-200 (commonly written SPC200) is a modular closed-loop positioning controller developed by Festo, designed for servo-pneumatic linear axes and stepper motor electric axes. It adopts card slot modular architecture, including CPU base rack, digital I/O card, analog input card, stepper interface and fieldbus communication modules. The main CPU versions are SPC200-CPU-4 (4 slots) and SPC200-CPU-6 (6 slots). It executes NC positioning instructions similar to DIN66025 G-code to realize point-to-point positioning, continuous path motion, electronic cam and flying cut functions. Widely applied in legacy packaging machines, material handling, automatic assembly and special machinery with Festo servo pneumatic drives.

This controller uses DC24V power supply. Onboard local I/O provides 40DI/32DO, and can expand remote I/O via fieldbus. Optional communication cards support PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet and Interbus to exchange data with PLC and HMI. Commissioning and programming software is WinPISA, and handheld HMI SPC200-MMI-1 can be connected for on-site parameter setting, manual jog and fault diagnosis. Position register and motion program can be saved in flash memory, retaining data after power cut. It supports closed-loop position feedback via linear encoder for high precision pneumatic positioning.
Built-in protection functions include axis overtravel, position tracking error, drive overload, supply undervoltage and module fault detection. When alarm triggers, the controller stops axis motion and outputs fault signal to protect mechanical structure and pneumatic components. IP20 protection grade for cabinet mounting, operating temperature range -5~+50℃. The modular design allows individual replacement of failed cards without replacing the whole rack, reducing maintenance cost.
SPC-200 is discontinued legacy Festo motion spare part. Many old automated machines still run with SPC200 positioning systems.
