CS1W-MC421-V1 (MC421-V1) Omron 4-Axis Motion Control Unit
Detailed Description
CS1W-MC421-V1, also marked as MC421-V1, is a special high-performance I/O motion control unit for Omron SYSMAC CS-series PLC systems. It adopts analog speed command output and semi-closed loop control, supporting up to 4 servo axes for independent positioning and multi-axis interpolation, widely used in packaging machinery, printing equipment, machine tools and automated production lines that require high-precision motion control.

This motion module supports built-in G-language programming. Users can create independent motion tasks inside the unit, while the CS1 CPU ladder program sends trigger commands to run pre-set motion sequences. It provides rich positioning functions including PTP point-to-point movement, 4-axis linear interpolation, 2-axis circular interpolation and helical interpolation. Trapezoidal or S-curve acceleration and deceleration can be configured to ensure smooth axis movement and reduce mechanical impact. It supports JOG operation, origin return, infinite feed and interrupt fixed-length feeding to meet diverse motion requirements of automated machines.
The encoder interface accepts line receiver signals with maximum response frequency of 500kpps before multiplication, and 1/2/4 multiplication options are available. It supports both incremental and absolute encoders, with position setting range from -39,999,999 to +39,999,999. The module carries 4 independent motion tasks, up to 25 programs and 500 program blocks per task. Flash memory backs up motion programs and position data, retaining all parameters after power loss. It reserves terminals for manual pulse generator MPG, teaching box, general digital input and brake output signals, convenient for on-site debugging and manual operation.
CS1W-MC421-V1 is a discontinued legacy Omron PLC spare module. Many old CS-series automation systems still rely on this unit for multi-axis synchronous positioning. When the original module fails, replacing it with identical CS1W-MC421-V1 can reuse the original backplane installation, servo wiring, G-language motion programs and CPU ladder logic. No major program revision or mechanical modification is required. Technicians only install the module, download the saved motion project and verify axis signals, so the equipment resumes operation quickly and cuts production downtime.
Before shipment, every CS1W-MC421-V1 undergoes full functional inspection, including backplane bus communication test, encoder signal verification, motion program execution test and LED indicator check. All units come with 12-month warranty. Our automation technical team provides remote support for rack installation, G-program backup, axis parameter tuning and fault diagnosis. Fast global shipping is available for urgent maintenance orders.
For automation maintenance engineers and system integrators, CS1W-MC421-V1 is reliable 4-axis motion replacement unit for legacy Omron CS-series control systems. It restores original positioning accuracy and multi-axis synchronization performance, extends service life of old automation assets and avoids expensive whole-system upgrade.
