TSXSAZ10 Schneider Modicon TSX Micro AS-i Master Module

TSXSAZ10 is Schneider Modicon TSX Micro series half-height AS-Interface (AS-i) master communication module, specially designed for TSX Micro TSX37 PLC racks, which must be installed in slot No.4 of the base rack. It acts as the AS-i network master station to realize data exchange between PLC and distributed field sensors and actuators, widely applied in conveying systems, packaging machinery and factory field distributed I/O control.

This module complies with AS-i V1.0 M2 profile, and can manage up to 31 AS-i slave devices on one AS-i cable, expanding up to 248 I/O points in total. It integrates local 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs for direct connection of nearby field signals. The module reads slave status and I/O data cyclically, and the communication processing is transparent to the PLC user program. The front panel is equipped with RUN, ERR, COM and AS-i LED indicators, convenient for maintenance staff to quickly judge network operation status and locate communication faults.

It adopts rack plug-in installation, IP20 protection grade, working temperature range from 0℃ to +60℃, suitable for installation inside control cabinet. The module is powered by the TSX Micro backplane, and the AS-i bus requires a dedicated AS-i power supply for the field bus cable. The AS-i two-wire cable realizes both signal transmission and power supply for field slaves, greatly reducing field wiring workload and cable cost, especially suitable for scattered sensor and actuator layout on production lines.

TSXSAZ10 is discontinued legacy Schneider PLC spare part, production stopped at the end of 2019. A large number of TSX Micro automation control cabinets still use this AS-i master module.
