4. Installation & Operating Instructions
Mounting Steps
(1) Fix standard 35mm DIN rail inside DCS control cabinet
(2) Snap P0916PH module onto DIN rail and lock the bottom buckle
(3) Connect DB25 cable between module backplane port and FBM analog input module
Field Wiring Rules
Field transmitter cable: Shielded twisted pair wire, single channel independent wiring
HART signal wiring: Keep cable length ≤500m, avoid parallel laying with high-power power lines
24VDC power wiring: Distinguish positive and negative poles, ground shielding layer at single end of cabinet
System Startup & Configuration
(1) Confirm all wiring is completed, close cabinet door and switch on 24VDC power supply
(2) The module self-tests within 30 seconds; steady green indicator = normal, flashing red = channel fault
(3) Log in I/A Series workstation, configure channel mode (single-ended/differential), signal type and HART communication switch
(4) Download configuration parameters to module, read real-time sensor data and HART instrument information
Routine Maintenance
Inspect indicator lights and terminal wiring tightness per shift
Clean dust on wiring terminals every month to prevent poor contact
Execute HART instrument remote parameter calibration every quarter
5. Safety Precautions
Do not plug/unplug DB25 communication cable or field signal wires with power on; cut off 24VDC power before wiring maintenance to avoid module circuit burnout.
Keep the module away from high-temperature heat sources, liquid splashing and strong electromagnetic equipment.
Do not disassemble the internal circuit board without authorization; maintenance shall be operated by Foxboro certified automation technicians only.
If continuous red fault alarm occurs, cut off power immediately to check short circuit, open circuit or overload of field transmitter loops.
6. Fault Diagnosis & Troubleshooting
All indicator lights off: Check cabinet 24VDC power supply circuit and loose power terminals
Single channel red fault light: Inspect field transmitter open circuit, short circuit or wiring disconnection
HART communication failure: Check shielded cable laying distance, terminal contact and HART protocol parameter matching
Signal data fluctuation abnormally: Increase signal filtering parameter, reprocess cable shielding grounding
